Where’s the One? is an Edinburgh-based company run by Mat Clements, a man on a mission to provide drumming workshops, memorable musical performances and special events across the community. Mat undertakes a wide variety of performances and creative projects using drums, world percussion, voice, brass, ukulele and technology. He established Where's the One? in 1998, and since then Mat’s musical and educational career has taken him from Scotland/UK, to musical ventures in Europe, India, China, Australia and the US.
Mat is a busy gigging musician - he's an original member and percussionist with Orkestra del Sol, which toured the UK and abroad from 2003 until 2017. He was a founder member of Edinburgh heavy drum crew, The Weird Attractors, ran the Beastie drummers at Edinburgh's Beltane for many years, and is former musical director of the Edinburgh Samba School. These days Mat is also seen singing and playing pandeiro for Bristol Branch, the best and only Scottish Forró band!
