The Big Social Stomp - a new project for remote delivery
In these COVID-affected times, its incredibly important to maintain creativity in the classroom for the benefit of pupil's development, wellbeing and resilience. The BIG SOCIAL STOMP has been specifically created to be delivered remotely via the Smartboard so it's completely safe for everyone in the school to start making music together!
The Big Social Stomp programme takes whole classes on an exciting musical journey, introducing them to the basics of body percussion, boomwhackers and drumming, and allowing them to explore their creativity. As the project proceeds, classroom playing is recorded and complied into a split-screen video outcome, where the achievements of everyone can be celebrated online.
This project is brand new and being run remotely for the first time in two primary schools in Inverclyde. You can follow the project on twitter @wherestheone
